TOBY FARROW studied TV & Radio Production at Bournemouth University. After a brief career as a stand-up comedian and actor, he turned to playwriting. In 2002 he won the “Bristol Old Vic Pearson Television Playwright In Residence Award” where he worked as a script reader and co-produced (with Joyce Branagh) the acclaimed “Bare Faced Chic” New Writing Basement Season of twelve new plays.
In the same year he was asked to participate in the National Theatre’s “Bake-Off” project, led by Moira Buffini and David Eldridge. He has held writing attachments with THE BUSH, PAINES PLOUGH and the BIRMINGHAM REP and is a former member of the ROYAL COURT Young Writers Programme
Toby has also worked as a Drama Lecturer at Bath Spa University and Stratford-upon-Avon College, and a workshop leader for the Bath Theatre Royal Education Dept and Bristol University Further Education Course.

Toby was Script Editor on Aardman Animation’s multi award winning CREATURE COMFORTS Series 1 & 2. (including Rose d’Or for “Best Comedy”, Cristal for Best TV Production, & Bafta TV Nomination for “Best Comedy Series”).
He is currently co-writing / producing / directing a number of shorts under the working title of TAXI TALES (Clingfilm Productions).
